Vyond (formerly known as GoAnimate) has gained popularity on YouTube, particularly in the subculture of "Grounded videos," which depict characters as troublemakers receiving exaggerated punishments in a comedic manner.

What is Vyond?

Vyond (formerly known as GoAnimate) is a cloud-based platform for creating animated videos using drag and drop assets. It offers narrative videos with lip-syncing characters and video presentations with voice-over narration. Vyond provides a library of pre-animated assets such as characters, actions, templates, props, music tracks, and sound effects. Users can also upload their own assets. The platform allows users to record dialogue or import audio files and offers automatic lip-syncing for characters. Finished videos can be downloaded as MP4 files, GIFs, or video presentations, and can be exported to video-hosting sites like YouTube. Vyond for Schools, a version for educational institutions, was available but was shut down in 2019.

Vyond Go

Vyond Go is the industry's first AI-based script and video creator.
It allows users to create professional video content from scratch in seconds using generative AI.
Users enter a few short prompts, and Vyond Go delivers a script and an editable output that combines script, storyboard, and first-cut video. Videos can be used as is or edited within Vyond Studio.

2023 Spring Release Features

Vyond Spring 2023 update reflects customers’ top five feature requests about relevancy, speed, enterprise-grade functionality, and accessibility.

1. Global Search: A new feature in Vyond Studio that helps users locate assets more easily, including assets used in previous projects.

2. New Content: Industry-specific content has been added for healthcare, office, home, manufacturing, food & outdoor, and learning & development. This includes new props, characters, and templates.

3. Closed Captioning: Videos can be made accessible to those with hearing impairments by adding closed captions. Voice over audio can be automatically transcribed, and the exported SRT file can be used with courseware authoring tools, an LMS, or video hosting providers.

4. Text to Speech (TTS) Enhancements: Users will have control over voice pitch, speed, and emotion. Voices can be previewed before adding them to a character.

5. Asset Organization: Users can organize their favorite assets and create collections for easy search. This feature is available to Professional and above users.

6. Bulk Audio Edit: Multiple audio tracks can be edited simultaneously, including volume, fade, assigned character, and TTS settings. Improved Preview Speed: Previews load almost instantly, providing a faster previewing experience. Currently applies to the Contemporary Style, with more instant preview updates coming soon.

7. Improved Preview: With this update, you will be able to see your preview instantly.
